Frequently Asked Questions

What is Injectafix Precision used for?

Injectafix Precision is a low-viscosity bonding adhesive for suitable intact loose or hollow tiles and accessible voids under flooring on a sound substrate. It is not a fix for rot, structural failure, cracked-through tiles or a failed subfloor.

How do I apply it without making a mess?

Use a compatible caulking gun, drill the access hole in the grout line as instructed, inject slowly, support the tip and wipe excess immediately. Protect the surrounding floor and never force a blocked tip.

How much adhesive should I use?

Use enough to reach the accessible void and stop when the cavity is filled. Coverage varies with the void; do not flood a large cavity or treat a structural problem as a small injection repair.

How long should the repair stay undisturbed?

Weight the tile and leave it undisturbed for at least 24 hours, following the product instructions. Larger applications and different floor constructions may need longer.

Will it work on LVP, hardwood or floating floors?

Construction and backing vary. Use it only where the adhesive can reach a suitable void and the flooring maker permits the repair; do not restrict the movement of a floating floor.

Do I need a caulking gun?

Yes. Precision is supplied in a cartridge for a compatible caulking gun; use Injectafix Easy Squeeze when you need the no-gun format.

What if the cartridge or tip is faulty?

Stop forcing it and keep the product and order details. Contact us with clear photos so we can investigate the batch and application.

Description

Fix loose and hollow floor tiles without lifting them

Injectafix Pro re-bonds loose and hollow-sounding floor tiles in place. You drill a 2mm hole in the grout line and inject the adhesive. It flows into the empty space under the tile and bonds the tile back to the floor. Weight the tile, leave it 24 hours, and walk on it again. You don't lift the tile, so there's no dust from breaking out adhesive and no hunt for a matching replacement tile.

A tip that never blocks or dries out

Most sealant and adhesive nozzles set solid once you stop using them, so half a cartridge ends up in the bin. Every cartridge comes with our own tip, which clears itself every time you use it, so it never blocks or dries out. Put the cartridge down between jobs and it's ready when you pick it up again. You waste less adhesive and buy fewer replacement nozzles.

Why we don't use syringes

Some floor repair kits use plastic syringes and needles. They're made of several parts pushed together, so they can flex and leak at the joints under pressure, and they were designed for crafts, not floors. Our tip is our own design: one piece, all-in-one, made specifically for injecting adhesive into floors. Nothing to assemble, no joints to leak, and it fits straight onto the cartridge.

Floor Fix Pro tip Syringe and needle kits
Design One piece, made for floors Several push-fit parts, made for crafts
Leaks at the joints No joints to leak Can leak under pressure
Strength Rigid Flimsy, can flex or crack
Dries out between jobs No, clears itself Usually needs cleaning or replacing

How many cartridges do I need?

One 300ml cartridge fills about 2–3 sq ft of hollow area. As a guide:

Hollow area Cartridges Typical job
Up to 3 sq ft 1 2–3 small (300×300mm) tiles
6–9 sq ft 3-pack A few large tiles, or a patch by a doorway
8–12 sq ft (about 1m²) 4-pack A hollow area in a kitchen or hallway
12–18 sq ft 6-pack Several areas, or a larger room
24–36 sq ft (2–3m²) 12-pack Trade and multi-room jobs

The actual amount depends on how deep the gap is under the tile. If you're unsure, start with a 3-pack.

How to fix a loose tile with Injectafix Pro

  1. Find the hollow area. Tap each tile with the handle of a screwdriver. A hollow tile sounds dull compared with its neighbours. Mark the hollow tiles and press their corners to check for movement.
  2. Drill a 2mm hole through the grout line next to the hollow area.
  3. Inject Injectafix through the precision tip, following the pack instructions.
  4. Wipe off any excess straight away with Perfect Finish wipes.
  5. Weight the tile and leave it undisturbed for 24 hours.
  6. Fill the hole. Once the tile is solid, fill the hole with Twist & Grout in a matching colour. In showers, wet areas and outdoors, seal the joints afterwards.

When Injectafix is the right repair

Injectafix is for intact tiles that have come loose from a sound floor. It is not a repair for rot, structural failure or tiles that are cracked right through. A hollow sound can mean there's a gap under the tile, but check for movement and the condition of the floor before you start. For other floor types, check the flooring manufacturer's instructions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Injectafix with underfloor heating?

Yes. It's suitable for all types of underfloor heating.

How long until I can walk on the floor?

Leave the repaired tile weighted and undisturbed for 24 hours.

What size hole do I drill?

2mm with Injectafix Pro, through the grout line. Easy Squeeze needs a 3mm hole.

What temperature can I use it at?

Between 5°C and 30°C.

How many tiles will one cartridge fix?

About 2–3 sq ft of hollow area, which is roughly 2–3 small tiles. Deeper gaps use more adhesive.

Is Injectafix suitable for wet rooms and outdoor areas?

Yes, as long as you seal the floor afterwards with a quality grout. We strongly recommend Twist & Grout.

Does it work on natural stone and marble?

Marble, yes. Other natural stone, only if the stone is sealed.

Will it work on tiles laid over timber or ply?

Yes, as long as the timber or ply is sound.

Will it fix a cracked tile?

No. Injectafix re-bonds loose tiles. A tile that's cracked right through needs replacing.

My grout keeps cracking. Will this help?

Often, yes. Grout that keeps cracking usually means the tile underneath is loose. Re-bond the tile first, then regrout. Read more: why cracked grout is usually a tile problem.

Will the nozzle dry out between jobs?

No. Our tip clears itself, so it never blocks or dries out. You can put the cartridge away and use it again on your next job.

Do I need anything else?

A 9-inch caulking gun, a 2mm drill bit, Perfect Finish wipes for clean-up and Twist & Grout to finish. Spare precision nozzles: Just The Tip.

Can I use Injectafix to fix my entire floor or just a small area?

Both. Injectafix is designed to be quick to apply, even over a large area, because it goes in through our own custom injection tips, made specifically for injecting adhesive into floors quickly and reliably. We design and make our own tips for this job rather than relying on repurposed syringe bottle tips or syringes, which many floor repair products use. If you have ever tried to repair a large area of floor with a syringe tip, you will know they can be messy, unreliable and easy to break. For a larger area, see "How many cartridges do I need?" above.

How long has Floor-Fix Pro been around?

Floor-Fix Pro was founded in the UK in 2018 by Paul Lanzarotti, who was frustrated by the lack of quality floor repair products on the market. Today Floor-Fix Pro products are sold in over 40 countries and are widely regarded as the trade-grade answer to floor repair.
